Get you Mexican Fishing License on-line
Please follow these instructions to get an on-line permit to fish in Mexico. This is not the smoothest process but be patient. It can be done.
I have communicated directly with the individuals who are in charge of the licensing. They tell me that they are in the process of making suggested changes to make things easier.

Click on the box that says. "Get Your Fishing Permits Online Now"
Go to the next screen and click on the box "Fishing Permits- Click here to start the process."
Go to the next screen titled 'Best Baja Fishing'. Click on the American flag unless you read and write Spanish.
This will take you to the English language page. The Mexican flag will have replaced the Stars and Stripes.
Fill in the E-mail and Password information or go to 'Register' and follow the instructions.
Go to yet another page. Click on the Process Permit button.
The new screen that appears will ask you for Permit Type. Fill in the length of time you wish to buy a permit for.
The Fishing zone box is for statistical purposes only. Choose any of the three options that you think is a good match.
Fill in the Permit Starting Date.
Find the button that says On-Line Payment. Click onthat button.
You will need to click 'OK' on a small pop-up warning you that you are going to an On-Line payment. This will take to you a screen that says "Pago con Tarjeta de Credito".
It is in Spanish only. It will not take Discover Card. The amounts will show as dollars but I have verified that the amounts charged will be in pesos. At present, there are approximately 13 pesos to the dollar. $553 dollars (Mexican dollarres) will cost you approximately $42.53 (American dollars). This is for a one-year license. Shorter times cost less. You might be charged a foreign transaction fee by your credit card company.
Fill in the information. 'Nombre' is the name shown on your credit card. 'Numero' is your 16-digit credit card number. Fill it in and leave no spaces.
It will ask you for the three-digit security code found on the back of your credit card. Put that number in. Hit Enter. If everything has gone well, you will be able to download a copy of your Mexican fishing license.
The system will e-mail you a copy of your Mexican fishing license. Carry this document with you at all times you are in Mexico. I strongly suggest you make several copies in case the boat is boarded and need to give them a copy.
