The big bass come out to play on a Fishing with Phil Twilight trip on board the Native Sun out of Long Beach Sportfishing. Some giant sand bass were taken including a 6.9-pound monster by Raul Martinez from Long Beach, CA. The Fishing with Phil Twilight trips fish on board the Native Sun ever Friday and Saturday evenings, 6:30pm-Midnight.
Best way to take the bass has been on a 2-ounce banana leadhead tipped with fresh dead squid. Since you are fishing around structure, it is really important that you turn the handle of your reel as soon as you hook up in order to wrestle your prize away from the hazardous bottom.
There are new Fishing with Phil trips all the time so make sure you check the schedule often and we'll see you on a trip soon.
