A 12-foot Duffy electric boat was engulfed in flames this morning around 7:20am in Alamitos Bay
at the Bay Boat Rental docks adjacent to Long Beach Marina Sportfishing. Long Beach Fire Fighter Public Relations officer Matt Dobberpuhl said that Long Beach Fire Rescue Boat 1 responded to the fire and put it out in short time.
The vessel was a comple loss and there was some undetremined damage done to the docks. The vessel was towed to an Isolation Unit for further investigation. The cause of fire has yet to be determined.
