San Nicolas Island lived up to its reputation for a group of lucky anglers on a recent Fishing with Phil trip. The trip was fabulous for a myriad of reasons. The weather was beautiful with a sunny warm day and flat calm seas topped off by aa dramatic sunset.
The fishing was outstanding. Lings, big sheepshead, giant whitefish and lots more all taken in 120 feet of water or less. In the shallow water, these fish put up a real tussle. Add to it that these are some of the finest eating fish in the sea and this was a trip that was hard to beat.
But most important, our group came back to Pierpoint Landing in Long Beach better friends than when we left a mere 24 hours before. For all of you who made this very special trip, thank you. Looking forward to more great times ahead.
