A gigantic great white shark was filmed 3-miles off Venice Beach, CA on Friday by a group of fishermen from their private boat. ""That is one big shark for these waters," said Jon Ackley, skipper of the Sportfisher Westerly out of Long Beach Sportfishing.
While juvenille great whites are fairly common along Southern California beaches, sharks of this ssize are rare. Some point to the explosion of sea lions along the Southern California Coast as one possible reason for seeing the larger sharks.
The video contains lots of profanity as these guys were convinced they were going to need a bigger boat!
